The 70s produced several messages delivered by Jail Levi A.K.A Sixty Melody was one of the elite. Levi was born in the slums of Kingston, Jamaica at Jubilee hospital delivered personally by our Lord through the belly of his mother Rita Madden July and put into the hands of his father Richard K Francis Senior Levi is his mother's only son and his father's first born son which was fitting for him to carry on the family name.
Levi's musical talent and interests arrived early in his life. Dancing and singing around his mother's house was only the beginning. Levi soon began to perform at the tender age of seven, performing for an audience of family and friends eventually graduating on to festivals and local talent show's everyone in Levi's community soon knew that he was a very talented and spiritual youth.
Levi's voice was soothing and relaxing to all who heard him, singing and dancing right through his childhood is just what Sixty did. In High School Levi performed at multiple school talent shows, festivals and carnivals.
Sixty Melody had the opportunity to bless the stage with Jamaica's hottest icons Buju Bantan, Wayne Wonder and Singing Melody, singing along side of these artist encouraged Levi to take his music more seriously and professionally.
There was one thing that stood in his way, his passion for Futbol (soccer). Levi had played soccer just as long as he had been singing. Levi's youth coach was his father's brother Uncle G-Codie. Levi at the age of sixteen played in the premier and major league in Kingston. Jamaica: He dreamed of going to the Olympics but was too young at the time. Levi continued to play ball at a professional level until the death of his grandmother, Eugena Francis, who was his heart and soul
In 1989 Sixty migrated to America after his father, Richard Senior sent for him. Miami is where Levi would soon call home. Music was the only thing on Sixty's mind now. Finding comfort in songs and continuing to play soccer for the physical aspect and conditioning his vocals and lungs. Levi had a chance to play for the University of Miami alongside Ron Marley but his love for music prevailed over all.
